A postpartum & infant care doula is a professional support person trained in the needs of the family in the days, weeks and months after birth or the addition of a new baby. The doula offers non-judgmental support, guidance, evidence-based education and practical hands-on support immediately after birth through the first year.
The doula's primary focus is on the pregnant person's recovery from birth, the baby's adjustment to life on the outside and family support. The doula is well versed in bottle and breastfeeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, sleep consulting, infant soothing and general coping skills. Additionally, the doula assists with meal preparation, light housework and the general needs of the family during the postpartum period and beyond.

A Sleep Doula will do the sleep shaping alongside you, or for you, ensuring the sleep plan is implemented effectively. Having a Sleep Doula implement the sleep plan for you, the doula's experience provides confidence, and assurance in the process, and allows for less stress for all involved.
During our time together we will discuss Safe Sleep Environment, Health Assessment, Safe Sleep Education for your Baby & Family Values, Discuss Developmental Stages and Gentle Sleep Shaping Solutions are just some of the topics covered during this time. Every child and parent are different from their own needs, comforts, and personalities and of course how we sleep.
